Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn. is a fungal pathogen that causes sheath blight in rice plants. Sheath disease can reduce production for the people of Indonesia. To prevent blight, fungicides are used. The continuous use synthetic with inappropriate doses have negative impact, so it necessary to look alternatives vegetable fungicides, one which clove leaf (Syzygium aromaticum L.). aim this study was determine ability extract inhibit fungus R. Solani and class compounds contained extract. Data were collected using MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) test well-diffusion method, inhibition percentage colony content phytochemical test. minimum concentration (MIC) capable inhibiting 0.5%. inhibitory activity be reduced by 100% at an 1.5%. Clove contains groups alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, phenols, steroids terpenoids.
